helping you find the parent you wish to be

A listening, compassionate ear, able to offer gentle and family-specific guidance, Leaving you feeling empowered, encouraged, and supported

what i offer

I’m here to support and guide wherever needed, such as: setting up a purposeful family home, helping you find your feet with a new baby, meals, sleeping, boundary setting, creating gentle rhythms through your day, week and year, working within your family dynamics to find balance.

Perhaps you’re not sure what you’re looking for, but want to find a sense of direction on your mothering journey. I am able to join you at any point: pre-birth and postnatally up to the age of 6.

Supporting you from where you find yourself now, bringing you to a place of confidence in your own parenting.

who i am

Having set up and led a teacher training centre in South Africa, I have seen how empowered adults have such impact on child development. As a mother, trained Montessori teacher, and yoga instructor, I have deep knowledge of both the child through a developmental lens, and the humbling and humanising experience of parenting.

I parent gently, respectfully, and positively: meeting the child where they are, using the very same starting point when working with adults.

I am working towards creating a space where mothering is done in community, care is holistic, and wisdom is shared openly.

TESTIMONIALs

Livi

“The support Emma offered me was grounding, attuned and gentle, whilst always being respectful and honouring of the unique path I was finding in my motherhood journey. Emma knows how to ask the right questions, and crucially knows the difference between when encouragement or guidance is needed. It is so clear that Emma’s experience is rooted in a deep understanding of children, an appreciation and curiosity for the wider world. I recommend Emma wholeheartedly to anyone looking for some support in finding their feet on their journey through the often wild ride of motherhood.”

“Emma has helped me both pre and postnatally. Her approach to all aspects of becoming a parent is extremely gentle and respectful. No question big or small is laughed at, no meltdown judged. She knows when to just listen, and when to offer advice. As first time parents, the amount of conflicting information readily available can be overwhelming. Emma was a clear, knowledgeable sounding board for us on all things. Most invaluably, Emma gave us the confidence to trust in our own abilities as parents. Most recently Emma has helped set up our home, to support our toddler’s growing independence. The results of which have been remarkable. I highly recommend Emma to any parents looking for compassionate guidance in their own journey.”
